Faith, Fellowship and Service
Gathering in Faith and Friendship
Tabitha’s Joy Circle is open to all women of Good Shepherd. The group brings together two longtime ministries—the former Circle of Joy and Tabitha Circle—both connected with Women of the ELCA, the national women’s organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
We meet on the second Saturday of each month for Bible study, fellowship, and opportunities to organize for service.
Celebrating Together
Mother’s Day Celebration
We host an annual Mother’s Day celebration with food, games, and entertainment. Everyone is invited to bring family and friends.
LCGS Christmas Party and Easter Brunch
We assist the Worship and Music Committee in hosting Good Shepherd’s annual Christmas Party and Easter Brunch, along with other special events throughout the year.

Coffee Hour
Tabitha’s Joy hosts coffee hour after worship on the third Sunday of each month. It gives members, friends, and visitors an opportunity to get to know one another while enjoying delicious goodies.
Serving Our Community
Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance
Tabitha’s Joy provides many volunteers for Good Shepherd’s annual Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance for adults with special needs. This free event includes a DJ, photographer, buffet, and dancing. It is a joyful celebration for both guests and volunteers.
Laurel Wood Elementary School
We support our neighborhood elementary school in different ways each year. Past projects have included donating backpacks, providing gifts for teachers, and supplying snacks for students.

We participate in the annual ELCA day of service. This year, volunteers will visit homebound members and friends with goody bags of useful and enjoyable items.
Thank Offering
In November, we collect a special Thank Offering for local charities. Offerings are also received at monthly meetings and distributed to organizations selected by the group.
