OUR VISION STATEMENT
We are a compassionate congregation— that acts out our love for God by loving each other and the community.
We sense that we are being called — toward renewal by the Holy Spirit. We aspire to be a diverse community of faith where different cultures, peoples and generations unite to live out the Gospel, serving our Lord, each other and our neighbors, especially the marginalized and isolated.
The people and gifts for that are already present. What we need — is to come together as a bold, unified community of faith discerning and working towards common missions.
Our Goals
Care across the generations — children who need safe and creative space, lonely elders, overwhelmed caregivers, and those navigating mental health challenges. People in this congregation carry personal experience with all of these and are interested in exploring what responding might look like for us.
Music as ministry — multiple people named music as a way to build genuine community, serve children, and reach people who wouldn't otherwise come through our doors. We have the gifts and the facility.
Welcoming those wounded by the Church — creating a genuine place of belonging for those who have been told by other churches they don't belong: people of different backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. This congregation senses a calling to be a place where the door is genuinely open, and is ready to discern together what that means.
Relational presense — genuine relationship-building with our neighbors, starting with people and connections we already have, so that we come to know them and they come to know us. This includes community events like the blessing of animals and motorcycles that create joyful, low-barrier points of connection — blessing the things and creatures people love as a way of blessing them.
