1946-1954
Pastor Merle O. Tollefson accepted the call to be the first minister.
A small barrack building in Closter Park, Alisal Civic Improvement Center Scout House, was used as the church sanctuary.
Beech Street Parish Hall & Social Hall
Late 1950s and early 1960s - A time of growth and building. The old Del Monte school was purchased and moved into the church grounds. Served as a social hall/parish hall.

Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd has grown from a small gathering of families into a welcoming congregation rooted in worship, service, and community in North Salinas.

1990s–2000s – New ministries grow, including children’s, youth, music, and community outreach programs that serve neighbors in need.
Today – Good Shepherd continues to be a Christ-centered, welcoming community, rooted in Lutheran tradition and open to all.
